The President Watched Demonstrations from the Naval Exercise Breeze 2020 with International Participation

The President and Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces Rumen Radev attended the day for high-ranking guests of the national naval exercise Breeze 2020 with international participation. At the Sea Station in Burgas the Head of State was welcomed with military honors.

Onboard the Gordi frigate, the President watched demonstrations of maritime security operations in response to crisis. The servicemen demonstrate actions related to eliminating a fire on a ship in a port, overcoming the consequences of an accident with a merchant ship at sea, operations to control a hijacked merchant ship, evacuation of a wounded serviceman.

The annual Breeze 2020 exercise involves 27 vessels, 2 aircraft, 7 helicopters, 2,413 servicemen from the naval forces of Bulgaria, Belgium, Georgia, Greece, Italy, Spain, Romania, the United States, Turkey and France, as well as the NATO Standing Naval Group 2 of vessels from the Alliance Response Force.
