Powers Devolved to Vice-president Iliana Iotova

By virtue of Decree No. 9 of 22 January 2022 and based on article 104 of the Constitution of the Republic of Bulgaria President Rumen Radev devolved the powers to the Vice-president to exercise the President’s powers under article 98, items 9, 10 and 11 of the Constitution:  

•    To decree the acquisition, resumption, release from, and deprivation of, Bulgarian citizenship
•    To afford asylum
•    To exercise the right to pardon

He also devolved the powers to the Vice-president to exercise the President’s powers stipulated in article 98, item 7 of the Constitution under the Law on Bulgarians living outside the Republic of Bulgaria.
