2019-10-22 17:59:00

The Head of State and his wife Desislava Radeva took part in the enthronement ceremony and in the reception given by the new Japanese Emperor Naruhito. More than 2,000 guests from 200 countries attended the ceremony at the imperial palace. Bulgaria was represented by the President.

In Head of State Rumen Radev’s words, friendship and trust are the greatest capital of the bilateral cooperation between Bulgaria and Japan and are a solid basis for their future development, for an even more active partnership in the spheres of economy, science and education.

In 2019 we together marked three anniversaries in our relations – 110 years since the establishment of the first bilateral contacts, 80 years since the establishment of diplomatic relations and 60 years since they were restored.
