President Rosen Plevneliev announced that the elections for MEPs from the Republic of Bulgaria will be held on 25 May 2014. In his address to the National Assembly, the Head of State summarized the consensus reached on the priority topics for the country within the traditional “Month of political consultations” that has already ended.

Thanks to the attractive conditions Bulgaria offers to foreign investors and thanks to its strategic location, the country may become the starting point for implementing new Qatari business projects in Southeast and Central Europe. Bulgaria and Qatar share a common position on the priority sectors on which they can build their economic cooperation. The two countries will lay the emphasis on food production, the energy sector, high technologies, construction and trade, and on implementing projects of mutual interest.
