An inhumane and barbarous act, directed against the principles and foundations of democratic societies, is what President Rosen Plevneliev said about the terror attacks in Paris launched on 13 November. In a letter of condolences to the President of France Fracois Hollande, the Head of State strongly condemned the attacks that took the lives of innocent people.

The EU needs a new proactive approach to overcome crises by focusing on their emergence and it should not postpone solutions while problems are aggravating. This is what President Rosen Plevneliev said, who took part in the first Berlin Global Forum, at which the opportunities for promoting the dialogue between the European institutions and the representatives of the business circles, on the one hand, and the emerging economies in the world, on the other were discussed.

The talks President Rosen Plevneliev held in the German city of Hamburg focused on the problems related to the unprecedented migration pressure. During his meetings with representatives of the government and parliament of the federal province, the Head of State recalled that Bulgarian was the first country to face the migration wave in 2013.
