During the Bulgarian chairmanship of the Committee of Ministers of the Council of Europe our country will work for reconfirming the basic principles the European unification and cooperation are based on, planned in the Final act of Helsinki. This is what President Rosen Plevneliev said at the meeting he held with the Secretary General of the Council of Europe Torbjorn Jagland, who is on an official visit to Bulgaria.

Other projects of innovative ecosystems, similar to Sofia Tech Park, can be implemented in Bulgaria. The country has an enormous potential for innovations. This was the opinion shared by President Rosen Plevneliev and Carlos Moedas, EU Commissioner for Research, Science and Innovations, who held talks at 2 Dondukov street today. The two exchanged opinions on the construction of the first innovative ecosystem in Bulgaria, for which the European structural and investment funds have provided 50 million Euro.

Today by adding every piece of a new fence, by imposing mutual blockades of borders, by erecting razor-wire fences, by using water cannons and tear gas against the refugees, moreover in the heart of Europe, the EU is standing against its own rules, against its own values and identity. This is what President Rosen Plevneliev said, who opened a top-level meeting “New Visions of Partnership and Good-neighborly Relations in the Balkans” in Sofia. Current and former state and government leaders from the region are attending the conference, under the auspices of the Head of State, organized by the “Center for Political Dialogue Petar Stoyanov” and the International center “Nizami Gandjavi.”
