The migration pressure causes serious hardship to the European countries and the EU must prove that it is capable of making common decisions and of pursuing a common policy on coping with this problem. This was the position shared by President Rosen Plevneliev and Didier Reynders, deputy prime minister and foreign minister of the Kingdom of Belgium, who held talks at 2 Dondukov street today.

At a solemn ceremony at 2 Dondukov street President Rosen Plevneliev awarded the order of the Madar Horseman First Class to the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of Sweden to the Republic of Bulgaria Helena Pilsas Ahlin. The diplomat received the high state order for her contribution to strengthening and developing the relations between Bulgaria and Sweden.

In his speech the President called on for pooling efforts to overcome the refugee crisis in Europe. The Head of State emphasized that not a single state in Europe can solve the crisis and Europe must pool efforts to this effect.
