Bulgaria and Romania share a common goal to improve and expand the energy and transport infrastructure which connects the two countries and will work so as to build new bridges and ferryboat lines across the Danube, which will encourage the contacts between the people and the businesses. This was the common stance adopted by Presidents Rumen Radev and Klaus Iohannis, who held talks in Bucharest today. The Bulgarian Head of State is on an official visit to Romania.

“Meeting the Bulgarians in Greece is one of the most important moments in my visit because you are among the major prerequisites and have contributed to strengthening the relations between Bulgaria and Greece in the past years.” This is what Head of State Rumen Radev said in the Bulgarian Embassy in Athens, where he met representatives of the Bulgarian community in the Republic of Greece. Representatives of the local Bulgarian associations, teachers, medical doctors, culture activists and tens of our compatriots took part in the meeting.

“Bulgaria and Greece are connected by a strategic partnership both in terms of bilateral relations and within the EU and NATO. The two countries are an example of good-neighborly relations in the Balkans, based on common European values.” This is what Head of State Rumen Radev said, who is on a state visit in the Republic of Greece at the invitation of his Greek counterpart Prokopis Pavlopoulos. This is Rumen Radev’s first visit to Southeast Europe since he took office as Head of State.

It is high time Bulgaria and the Republic of Macedonia turned over a new leaf in their bilateral relations. The complicated relations between the two countries are unnatural and do not correspond either to the historical or to the contemporary realities, or to our future goals. This is what President Rumen Radev said, who held talks today with Macedonian Prime Minister Zoran Zaev at 2 Dondukov street.
