Our common house Europe is not just sand, stone, concrete and glass, it is also spirit and namely the latter is the most solid foundation of our house. This is what President Rumen Radev said at the beginning of the solemn concert which marked the official opening of the Bulgarian EU Council Presidency in Brussels. The performance took place in the Center for Fine Arts BOZAR.

President Rumen Radev received today at 2 Dondukov street the World-famous Israeli novelist, historian and politician Prof. Michael Bar-Zohar, who was born in Bulgaria. At the meeting the Head of State expressed gratitude for Prof. Michael Bar-Zohar’s contribution to the heroic narrative about the rescue of the Jewish community in Bulgaria during World War II.

The Balkan countries should clearly show their unity and political will to the European institutions for creating a South East European International Institute for Sustainable Technologies. The project will promote the process of European integration in our region in the areas of research, education and medicine and will create new prospects for the technological exchange and career development of young scholars. This is what President Rumen Radev said, who held a meeting with the members of the board of directors of the South East European International Institute for Sustainable Technologies at 2 Dondukov street today. The meeting was attended by ministers and deputy-ministers of education, science and technologies, and also by state secretaries of the Western Balkan countries and by leading European scholars working in CERN.
