I do not see the future of NATO as a market, but as an alliance of partners who together develop technologies and manufacture highly effective military equipment and demonstrate their unity, stated President Rumen Radev before journalists following the NATO Summit in Brussels. A strategic document outlining the Alliance’s agenda by 2030 was passed at the forum.

President Rumen Radev held a bilateral meeting in Brussels with the Prime Minister of the Republic of North Macedonia, Mr. Zoran Zaev. The Minister of Defence Mr. Georgi Panayotov also participated on behalf of the Republic of Bulgaria and the Deputy Prime Minister for European Integration Nikola Dimitrov, Minister of Defence Radmila Šekerinska and Minister of Foreign Affairs Bujar Osmani participated on behalf of the Republic of North Macedonia.

President Rumen Radev held a phone call today with US Secretary of State Antony Blinken. The conversation was initiated by Mr. Antony Blinken and the two discussed various topics, ranging from bilateral partnership between Bulgaria and the USA, the sanctions under the Global Magnitsky Act against Bulgarian natural persons and entities, cooperation in the field of security and defence, recovery following the Coronavirus pandemic, as well as the European Integration of the Republic of North Macedonia.

Developing the transport, energy and digital connectivity is at the foundation of accelerated economic development and achieving a higher standard of living, stated President Rumen Radev at the Three Seas Initiative – Between Geopolitical Confrontation and Pragmatic Realism conference. The forum was organised by the Economics and International Relations Institute and the Friedrich Ebert Foundation, where diplomats and leading international relations experts participated.
