Official visit of the Head of State Rumen Radev to Japan

The Head of State Rumen Radev is on an official visit to Japan. The delegation led by the Bulgarian President includes representatives of Bulgarian companies and organizations with activities in the field of industry, high technologies, science, innovations and the automotive sector. In Japan, the Head of State is accompanied by his wife Desislava Radeva.

In Tokyo, the Bulgarian President had an audience with the Emperor of Japan H. V. Naruhito at the Imperial Palace. Earlier, at Waseda University in the Japanese capital, Rumen Radev delivered a lecture dedicated to the bilateral relations between Bulgaria and Japan. The President held a meeting with the President of the University, Prof. Aiji Tanaka, and together with Princess Takamado, a member of the Japanese Imperial Family , visited the exhibition "Bulgaria-Japan - Politics, Diplomacy, Personalities and Events".

The Head of State also met with the Keidanren (Japan Business Federation). Representatives of the Bulgarian business also participated in the conversation. Rumen Radev also held a meeting with the Speaker of the House of Representatives Fukushiro Nukaga.

Rumen Radev participated in a business forum in Tokyo, which was attended by representatives of nearly 150 Japanese companies. The forum was organized by the Bulgarian Embassy in Japan Official visit of the Head of State Rumen Radev to Japanand the Japan External Trade Organization JETRO, with whose leadership the President held a meeting. The President also met with the leadership of the Japanese technology company Toshiba.

The Head of State met with the Prime Minister of Japan Shigeru Ishiba, with whom they signed a Joint Statement on the Establishment of the Strategic Partnership between Japan and the Republic of Bulgaria.
