President Rumen Radev: Bulgaria Is Interested in Economic, Investment and Industrial Cooperation with France to Match the Scale of French Cultural Presence in This Country

Bulgaria has an interest the economic, investment and industrial cooperation with France to respond to the active diplomatic ties and the scale of the French cultural presence in the country. This is what Head of State Rumen Radev said at a meeting here today with France's Secretary of State for European Affairs, Laurence Boone.

The two highlighted the strong traditions of French-Bulgarian cooperation in a number of areas of mutual interest, as well as the opportunities for building on them in the economy, energy, defence industry, science, education and culture. President Radev expressed
Bulgaria's gratitude for France's consistent support for the accession of this country to Schengen.

During the meeting the President and France's Secretary of State for European Affairs also discussed a number of issues on the EU agenda and the European perspective of the Western Balkans, military conflicts in Europe's neighbouring regions and their consequences.
