The Bulgarian Head of State highly appreciated the commitment of Azerbaijan and of President Aliyev in person to the fruitful partnership on the Gas Interconnector Greece-Bulgaria project. Radev and Aliyev were unanimous that its implementation contributes to deepening energy diversification not only for the region, but also for the whole of Europe. The two pointed out that in the energy sector there is potential for deepening cooperation not only in the import of natural gas, but also for exchanges in the field of technologies related to the production of green hydrogen as well as electricity. Agriculture, innovation, the automotive sector, culture and education were also identified as promising areas for the development of the partnership between Bulgaria and Azerbaijan.

President Rumen Radev renewed his invitation to President Ilham Aliyev to visit this country in the coming months.
