President Rumen Radev today sent a congratulatory letter and held a telephone talk with his counterpart President Stevo Pendarovski on the occasion of the National Day of the Republic of North Macedonia.  The commemoration of the Ilinden–Preobrazhenie Uprising of 1903 occupies an important place in our common history and is just one of the examples of the rich spiritual and cultural-historical heritage that closely links our two countries and their citizens, Rumen Radev said.

President Radev said that our common history should become a real factor for rapprochement between Bulgaria and the Republic of North Macedonia and the statesmen of both countries should contribute to this. The expressed ambitions for a common future in a united Europe should lead to the real building and deepening of good neighbourly relations in the interest of the citizens, which they expect, Rumen Radev further concluded.
