President Rumen Radev holds a call with Polish counterpart
2022-05-26 19:55:00President Rumen Radev held a telephone conversation with Polish President Andrzej Duda. The two discussed the situation in Ukraine in the context of the military conflict and the security environment in the region.
Radev and Duda expressed solidarity with the Ukrainian people and support for the country's European perspective. The enlargement of NATO, as well as the strengthening of the Alliance's defence and deterrence potential were also topics of the talk.
The two Presidents also touched on the process of European integration in the Western Balkans.

For projects aimed at improving connectivity between Bulgaria and Turkiye must be viewed as a whole, to be successful, and within the context of closer cooperation in Southeastern Europe. This will bolster both economic development and security in the region, whose strategic importance is growing. This was stated by President Iliana Iotova at a meeting with Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan, who is on a formal visit to Bulgaria.
