President Rumen Radev has received congratulatory addresses from a number of heads of state from around the world on the occasion of the celebration of 144 years since the Liberation of Bulgaria from Ottoman rule.

In his congratulatory address, US President Joseph Biden stresses that the United States will continue to be a steadfast partner in upholding the rule of law, strengthening democratic institutions, fighting corruption and ensuring the prosperity of Bulgarian citizens.
In his letter, the President of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Putin, congratulates the Bulgarian Head of State on the Day of the Liberation of Bulgaria from Ottoman rule and pays tribute to the sacrifice of the Bulgarian volunteers and Russian soldiers who fought side by side for the freedom of Bulgaria.
The Federal President of the Federal Republic of Germany, Frank-Walter Steinmeier, sends his cordial greetings to the Bulgarian citizens and expresses his hope that in a time fraught with challenges, the cooperation between the two countries will continue. Together, as Europeans and friends, we will successfully tackle the challenges, the German Head of State said.
Queen Elizabeth II sends her best wishes to the Bulgarian people. I hope that having overcome the global health challenges together, with determination and resolve, better times will lie ahead in the future, the address of Queen Elizabeth II reads.
President Xi Jinping of the People's Republic of China wishes prosperity to Bulgaria and peace and prosperity to the Bulgarian people. The Chinese Head of State expresses confidence that the traditional friendship and strategic partnership between the two countries will continue to develop for the well-being of the two nations.
In his congratulatory address, Emperor Naruhito of Japan expresses his warm greetings and sincere wishes for the happiness and prosperity of the Bulgarian people.
On behalf of the Spanish people, the government and himself, King Felipe VI of Spain wishes personal success, peace and prosperity to the dear Bulgarian people.
Philippe, King of the Belgians, sends his wishes for health and happiness to the President and the people of Bulgaria. In his address, he expresses his wish for the furthering of the ties of friendship and cooperation that unite Bulgaria and Belgium.
In his address, Slovenia's President Borut Pahor points out that the two countries are marking 30 years of diplomatic relations. I am convinced that we will continue to strengthen our partnership. Cooperation between European partners is extremely important in view of the challenges we face, the Slovenian head of state noted.
May the future bring peace, prosperity and happiness to the people of the Republic of Bulgaria, Republic of Ireland's President Michael Higgins writes to the Bulgarian Head of State.
The Federal President of the Swiss Confederation, Ignazio Cassis, points out in his address that the good relations between Bulgaria and Switzerland are based on mutual trust and can contribute to jointly tackling global challenges.
Isaac Herzog, President of the State of Israel, highlights the strong friendship between Bulgaria and Israel. We, Israelis, are extremely proud of the special bond between our two peoples. We will always remember the courage and humaneness demonstrated by the Bulgarian people during World War II, thanks to which the Jewish community in Bulgaria was rescued, the Israeli President writes.
Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas wishes Bulgaria and the Bulgarian people advancement and prosperity, stressing that the bilateral relations, based on friendship and cooperation, are a source of pride.
In his address, the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, points to the dynamism in the relations between Bulgaria and Azerbaijan, expressing satisfaction with the expansion of the mutually beneficial cooperation in the field of energy.
King Mohammed VI of Morocco wishes the President and the Bulgarian people health, happiness and prosperity, expressing confidence that the two countries will continue to work for even more fruitful bilateral relations.
In his address, Nguyen Xuan Phuc, President of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, wishes prosperity to the Bulgarian people and expresses confidence that the traditional friendly relations between the two countries will continue to strengthen and develop.

The King of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, also extended his wishes for progress and prosperity to the Bulgarian people.
In his letter to the Bulgarian President, King Willem-Alexander of the Netherlands wishes strength, courage and health to the Bulgarian people in their persistent efforts to overcome the COVID-19 pandemic.
On behalf of the Greek people and on my own behalf, I would like to express my cordial greetings and wishes for the health and prosperity of the friendly Bulgarian people, the President of the Hellenic Republic, Katerina Sakellaropoulou, writes in her message. She stresses that the excellent cooperation between Bulgaria and Greece, both at bilateral level and within the EU and NATO, is a strong basis for tackling the numerous challenges.

He expresses satisfaction with the friendly relations between Bulgaria and Pakistan and highlights the economy and culture as areas where the two nations could strengthen their cooperation.
In his address, President Emmanuel Macron of France notes that at a time when Europe is seeing the return of the tragedy of war to its continent, the European Union continues to play its role as a defender of peace. The French presidency of the Council of the European Union will fit into this line in close association with your country, a friend and an ally, the French president's letter reads. I highly appreciate your personal stand in favour of progress in the field of Europe's defence and sovereignty, Macron adds and expresses an ambition to continue enriching the relations between Bulgaria and France, including in the field of culture.
The President of the Republic of North Macedonia, Stevo Pendarovski, expresses satisfaction with the positive trend in relations between Bulgaria and the Republic of North Macedonia. I believe that we will continue to deepen our cooperation, bearing in mind that together we are demonstrating our dedication to the European values of good neighbourliness and friendship, the address of North Macedonia's President reads.
Romania's President Klaus Iohannis mentions the 30th anniversary of the signing of the Treaty of Friendship, Cooperation and Good Neighbourliness between Bulgaria and Romania. Iohannis points out that the dramatic events in Ukraine show more than ever the need for cooperation and close coordination between the two countries.
I know that the United Nations can count on the citizens of the Republic of Bulgaria to rise to the challenges to build a better, fairer and more peaceful world for all people, UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres said in his letter to the Head of State on the occasion of Bulgaria's National Day.
