Head of State Rumen Radev conversed on the phone with his Austrian opposite number Alexander Van der Bellen

Head of State Rumen Radev held a telephone conversation with his Austrian counterpart Alexander Van der Bellen. The Austrian President congratulated Rumen Radev on his re-election to the post. He expressed his condolences over the serious incidents in a nursing home in the village of Royak and on the Struma motorway.

The talk focused on the European integration of the Republic of North Macedonia and on an exchange of views on the counteraction to the coronavirus in Bulgaria and Austria. Rumen Radev underlined Bulgaria's position that the fruitful bilateral dialogue between Sofia and Skopje is an indispensable tool for resolving the contentious issues in the bilateral relations and Bulgaria expects specific results from it.
