President Rumen Radev discussed the priorities on the Agenda of the Slovenian Presidency of the Council of the EU at a meeting today at the Presidency with Anzej Franges, Ambassador of the Republic of Slovenia to Bulgaria. Slovenia took over the Presidency of the Council of the European Union on the 1st of July this year. 

 

Fighting climate change and the necessity of a fair transition to a green economy to guarantee social stability in the energy sector and to preserve the competitiveness of the separate EU Member States were among the topics of the conversation. The European integration of the Republic of North Macedonia was also discussed during the meeting. 

 

Head of State Rumen Radev today congratulated his counterpart Zoran Milanovic on the occasion of his convincing victory in the presidential elections in Croatia.

Ignazden's first guest at the presidential institution is Viktor Orban, and I believe that a much better year awaits us both for relations between Bulgaria and Hungary, as well as for our peoples and Europe, the President said after his meeting with the Prime Minister of Hungary

During the talks, the Head of State stressed the key importance of ensuring the safe operation of the nuclear power plant, as well as providing Bulgarian companies, engineers and technical workers with the opportunity to participate in the activities related to the construction and operation of the new units

President Rumen Radev held a telephone conversation with NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte, who is visiting the Novo Selo training ground today to get acquainted with the activities of the Multinational Battle Group with Italy as the host country.
