The Bulgarian Head of State reiterated the invitation to his Hungarian counterpart to visit our country in the autumn of 2020, the time when Bulgaria and Hungary will together mark the 100th anniversary of the establishment of bilateral diplomatic relations.

President Radev highlighted the opportunity to deepen the bilateral partnership in science, applied research, including the development of respiratory apparatuses. Both Bulgaria and Hungary conduct successful research and can pool efforts in this direction. The Head of State emphasized our country’s ambition to move from the export of personal protective equipment to the production and export of high-tech products.

During the conversation Rumen Radev thanked his Hungarian counterpart for Hungary’s consistent and principled policy towards the Bulgarian community in the country, which can set an example in Europe. Opinions were exchanged also on the two countries’ policy aimed at protecting the ties with the national communities abroad and preserving their national identity, mother tongue and culture.
