Presidents Radev and Djukanovic Discussed the Prospects for Promoting the Trade between Bulgaria and Montenegro

2019-09-25 21:37:00

Bulgaria and Montenegro have the ambition to transform the intense political dialogue and the friendly bilateral relations into a much more active trade and investment cooperation. This was the common stance shared by Presidents Rumen Radev and Milo Djukanovic, who held a meeting today in New York within the 74th regular session of the UN General Assembly.

The two voiced readiness to have the responsible institutions work to organize joint business forums, at which the companies and business circles from Bulgaria and Montenegro would negotiate joint projects, as one of the opportunities for promoting business. Improving the transport corridors in Southeast Europe and increasing the connectivity in the region are also a factor for strengthening trade and tourism.

Our countries are located at the two ends of the Western Balkans, which assigns us the responsibility to work for the stability in the region, President Radev further said and highlighted Montenegro’s contribution to the European integration of our neighbors in the Balkans.
