Bulgaria and Slovenia are close partners in the region as well, and the excellent bilateral relations are a good basis for intensifying the parliamentary dialogue and are a condition for continuing the good joint cooperation on regional issues and initiatives.

President Plevneliev and Milan Brgles highly appreciated the Bulgarian chairmanship-in-office of SEECP, which is the authentic voice in the region and the two countries will work together to develop all areas of the format for regional political dialogue. Bulgaria also relies on Slovenia’s support for Sofia’s candidacy for being the host-city of the Permanent Secretariat of the Parliamentary Assembly of SEECP.

Bulgaria and Slovenia will strengthen their cooperation also in the sphere of the European and Euro-Atlantic integration of the countries in the region.

The Western Balkan countries should be fully integrated in the European structures and European integration is a powerful engine of the democratic development of the region, Rosen Plevneliev and Milan Brgles highlighted.
