President Rosen Plevneliev held talks with Her Majesty Elizabeth II – Queen of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland. The audience took place in Buckingham Palace in London, where the Bulgarian Head of State was received with honors.

The President said the audience was “an inspiring meeting with a visionary.” Rosen Plevneliev recalled Prince Charles’ visits to Bulgaria and the meeting they held in 2012, also Prince Edward’s and Princess Sophie’s visit in 2013.  The Duke of Kent will visit Bulgaria in a couple of weeks.

“These contacts confirm the strong commitment of the British royal family to friendly Bulgaria, which was also the essence of Her Majesty’s main message,” the President said after the audience.
