2012-05-11 11:30:00

Drafting a good strategy for Bulgarians abroad must take into consideration not only central and local institutions but also the voice and needs of those abroad, Vice President Margarita Popova told journalists in Varna. She said that work was continuing at Presidency with the State Agency for Bulgarians Abroad to develop a strategy for Bulgarians abroad. The preparation of the new strategy will allow for better assessment of whether to make changes to current law on Bulgarians abroad or whether to proceed to an entirely new law. The Vice President said that she maintains active contacts with Bulgarian communities abroad to get acquainted with their problems and needs.

On May 11, the day of the Slavic apostles Cyril and Methodius, the Vice President participated in celebrating the opening of the Vassil Levski School in Varna.

In Beloslav, Vice President Popova participated in a formal meeting of the educational council, “Archives come alive”, dedicated to the 150th anniversary of the establishment.
