President Rosen Plevneliev is in Munich to take part in the 51st Security Conference. “All participants in the Munich conference are extremely concerned about the fact that the EU-Russia relationships are developing in the direction of lasting instability and deterioration, which no one is willing to allow. The next days will be decisive,” the Head of State commented on the occasion of his participation in the top-level forum.

President Rosen Plevneliev attended the commemoration service in memory of the first democratically elected president (1990-1997) of Bulgaria Dr. Zhelyu Zhelev.

The European prospects for the Western Balkan countries have no alternative and the European Union should continue to support their efforts for becoming full EU member states. This was the common opinion shared by the Presidents of Bulgaria and Albania Rosen Plevneliev and Bujar Nishani, who held talks today at 2 Dondukov street. The Albanian Head of State is in Bulgaria to attend the commemoration service in memory of Zhelyu Zhelev, President (1990-1997) of Bulgaria.

Bulgaria will continue to firmly support the Western Balkan countries on their road to European integration. However, reforms should be conducted and they should enjoy international support, President Rosen Plevneliev said, who held talks with Mladen Ivanic, Chairman of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina, at 2 Dondukov street. Ivanic arrived in Sofia to attend the commemoration service in memory of the deceased president Dr. Zhelyu Zhelev, who was dedicated to ensuring good-neighborly relations among the countries in the region.
