STEFAN SAVOV
Stefan Savov was born in 1981.
He completed his secondary education at the Hristo Botev specialised high school in Popovo in 1998.
He graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Political Science from Sofia University St. Kliment Ohridski in 2002.
In 2004, he graduated with a Master's degree in Foreign Relations from Sofia University St. Kliment Ohridski. In 2008 he graduated as a Master in Finance in the joint Master's degree program of the Institute of Economic Studies at the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences and the St Cyril and St Methodius University of Veliko Tarnovo. He speaks English and Russian.
From 2002 to 2008 he was a reporter and subsequently until 2017 - head of the Economics Department at the Banker newspaper. Author of a number of publications and analyses on financial and economic topics.
By decree of August 2017, he was appointed advisor to the President on social policies and health. In the second term of President Rumen Radev, he was appointed advisor on social policies and healthcare by Decree No. 31 of 22 January 2022. He was reappointed as Adviser to the President on Finance and Investment by Decree No 105 of 30 March 2022.
He served as Deputy Minister of Innovation and Growth in both caretaker governments of President Rumen Radev, taking office on 2 August 2022 and 3 February 2023, respectively.
He was appointed to the position of Advisor on Finance and Investment to the President by Decree No. 83, effective June 6, 2023.
