During the meeting with our compatriots, Radev pointed out that Singapore attracts the best specialists from all over the world, which makes the environment for professional fulfilment extremely competitive. Bulgarians here are highly educated, leading specialists in their fields - finance, high and information technologies, business, culture, education, sports, the Head of State said. The President said that our country relies on the experience of the Bulgarians in Singapore so that the successful model of a prosperous economy and social relations can be applied in various spheres in Bulgaria.

Noting the meetings he held yesterday with the President and the Prime Minister of Singapore, Rumen Radev added that respect for the Bulgarian community is demonstrated at the highest state level in the country. Fostering bilateral relations between Bulgaria and Singapore is important for the development of both countries, the Bulgarian Head of State further said, pointing to the contribution of our compatriots in this regard. The President also said that during the visit to Singapore the issue of opening a direct airline between the two countries was discussed, which would give a strong impetus to the development of bilateral relations.

The Head of State hailed the efforts of the Bulgarians to preserve their culture, identity and spirituality thousands of kilometres away from Bulgaria. He expressed support for the opening of a Sunday school in Singapore, which is the wish of our compatriots there. Minister of Education and Science Galin Tsokov explained to our community the procedure for launching organised education for Bulgarian children abroad. The Bulgarians raised questions about the provision of a mobile station for consular services in Singapore, the possibilities of state support for the activities of the community, as well as the cooperation of educational institutions from both countries. Musical performances were presented by graduates of Tatyana Todorova, who teaches at one of the most prestigious music schools in Singapore.
