The Head of State Holds a Session with representatives of Pilatus Aircraft

2024-09-12 18:52:00
Bulgaria highly values its long-standing partnership with Pilatus Aircraft in training its military pilots and has the ambition to build on this partnership, including in the field of industrial cooperation. This position was expressed during a meeting of President Rumen Radev with representatives of the Swiss company Pilatus Aircraft. The meeting was also attended by the Swiss Ambassador to Bulgaria, H. E. Raymund Furrer.

The excellent flying qualities of the PC-9, which is used by the Bulgarian Air Force, as well as of the company's new PC-21 trainer aircraft, whose equipment and cockpit are compatible with those of the F-16 Block 70 fighter jets, which our country expects to receive, were highlighted during the talks. The training of Bulgarian pilots could be even more effective with the use of the new PC-21 trainer aircraft, the company's representatives said at the meeting.

For his part, the Head of State expressed our country's interest in exploring the possibilities of industrial cooperation with Pilatus Aircraft and transfer of technologies, in the field of which the Swiss company has long experience.
