The Three Seas Initiative is establishing itself as a factor for the development of connectivity in the whole region of Central and Eastern Europe and is of key importance for promoting economic exchanges, investments and increasing security of supply of energy resources. This is what head of state Rumen Radev said at a meeting with Beata Daszynska-Muzyczka, Ambassador, Special Representative of the President of the Republic of Poland for the Three Seas Initiative. Poland will host the next summit of the initiative, which will take place in 2025. 

 

The head of state highlighted this country's good partnership with the Three Seas Investment Fund. The fund's investments in Bulgaria are among the largest within the initiative, with a total amount of around EUR 200 million invested in the transport and energy sectors, and the capital raised is around 10 times more than the amount invested by this country so far. 

 

During the meeting, Beata Daszynska-Muzyczka highlighted the ideas of expanding the dialogue of the Three Seas Initiative with the strategic partners of the initiative, strengthening the partnership with financial institutions, as well as expanding the thematic scope of the initiative with a new theme - promoting tourism and cultural exchange in Eastern Europe as a real factor for bringing the countries of our region closer together.  

 

Japan is a priority partner and friend of Bulgaria in the East Asian region, emphasised Rumen Radev, highlighting the long-standing friendship between the two countries, which is based on mutual respect, to which trust in the bilateral political dialogue at the highest level also contributes

Against the backdrop of the dynamic security environment, addressing the deficit of critical capabilities requires overcoming the deep fragmentation in European defence science and defence and broad cooperation between European countries. This was stated by President Rumen Radev today at a forum where modern technologies in the field of defence and security were presented.

Bulgaria is increasingly visible on the German investment map and ever more attractive to German companies, many of which reinvest their profits and export research and development centres to our country. This was stated by President Rumen Radev during a meeting in Sofia with the leadership of the Federal Association for Economic Development and Foreign Trade (BWA).

The Bulgarian head of state emphasised the importance of global efforts to counter terrorism, while expressing concern about the escalation of tension in the Middle East following the Israeli air strike on the Qatari capital, Doha. Hundreds of our compatriots live and work in the Qatari capital.
