President Radev Discusses High Added Value Sectors Exchange of Investments in Baku

2023-03-11 09:09:00

Investment exchange in the high-tech and high value-added industries is a positive trend in the cooperation between Bulgaria and Azerbaijan. This is what President Rumen Radev said at a meeting in Baku with business representatives organised by the Bulgarian-Azerbaijani Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

The leadership of the organisation said that the visit of Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev to Sofia last year at the invitation of Rumen Radev had given a strong impetus to deepening the investment exchange between the two countries. Projects related to the automotive sector, unmanned aerial vehicles and satellite technologies, and high-tech oil recovery methods were highlighted as promising partnerships.

President Radev pointed out that the active top-level political dialogue between Bulgaria and Azerbaijan and the excellent bilateral relations are a solid basis for fostering the cooperation in the economic sphere as well. In the head of State's words, there is potential for long-term and mutually beneficial partnerships and the business should actively take advantage of the opportunities. Radev added that countries that develop innovations and high technologies gain influence globally, so it is important to promote joint projects in these areas.

President Rumen Radev is in Azerbaijan to participate in the 10th Global Forum in Baku, organised by the Nizami Ganjavi International Center. Today the Bulgarian head of State will hold a meeting with his counterpart Ilham Aliyev.
