Bulgarian Vice-president Iliana Yotova Held Talks with the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and the First Lady Mehriban Aliyeva

On the occasion of the 25th anniversary since diplomatic relations were established between Bulgaria and Azerbaijan, Vice-president Yotova gave a letter to President Ilham Aliyev from the Bulgarian Head of State Rumen Radev extending the warmest greetings and wishes. Iliana Yotova voiced her conviction that the bilateral cooperation between the two countries will deepen.

In Ilham Aliyev’s opinion, there is an active dialogue and an effective cooperation between the two countries in the sphere of energy and cultural exchange and the active participation of the first lady Mehriban Alieyva in the restoration of the Tsarevets hill in Veliko Turnovo is a prerequisite ensuring a further promotion of the dialogue and cooperation. “The good relations with Azerbaijan are highly appreciated and I am convinced that they will further develop,” Iliana Yotova said.

At the end of the talks, Vice-president  Iliana Yotova gave Ilham Aliyev and Mehriban Alieyva traditional Bulgarian gifts, among which were a set in a frame copy of the Cyrillic alphabet made by children from a Bulgarian Creative School, the “Sign of the Bulgarians” plaquette and the “Colors and Hues from Bulgaria” album.

 Iliana Yotova visited Azerbaijan to take part in the World Forum on Intercultural Dialogue.
