President Rosen Plevneliev has sent a letter of congratulations to US President Barack Obama, congratulating him on his success in the elections for President of the United States.

“It is my great honour and pleasure to congratulate you on your success in the elections for President of the United States. Allow me to express my conviction that in your next term you will continue to be a decisive leader and convincing as a political manager not only in solving important problems in America, but also in terms of global issues and international relations. I am glad that we will be able to continue and further develop our co-operation during your second term. We view with pleasure the improving prospects for expanding trade and economic relations, co-operation in investment in key sectors of the Bulgarian economy, in the exchange of youth, education, science and culture. Of critical importance is our co-operation in energy and key issues of energy security and diversification,” President Plevneliev said in his letter of congratulations.
