President discusses energy diversification in Southeast Europe with US Energy Secretary Chris Wright

Bulgaria and Croatia share a common responsibility for the European integration of the Western Balkans and support for the reforms that the countries in the region should implement as part of this process. This is what President Rumen Radev said, who held talks today in Warsaw with Croatian Prime Minister Andrej Plenkovic in the framework of the 10th summit of the Three Seas Initiative.

The common position during the meeting was that the EU member states from South-Eastern Europe should intensify their dialogue and partnership to bolster stability and promote cooperation in the region.

During the meeting, Radev and Plenkovic also discussed issues on the agenda of the bilateral partnership between Bulgaria and Croatia, economic exchanges and security cooperation.

Earlier in the day, the President held a session with US Secretary of Energy Chris Wright, with whom he discussed the prospects for enhancing the security of energy supplies to South-Eastern Europe and energy diversification in the region, as well as bilateral cooperation between Bulgaria and the US in the energy sector.
