Our country has taken a lot of measures to cope with the migration pressure and thanks to the European solidarity the conditions in the accommodation centers have improved considerably, Rosen Plevneliev said at the meeting late on 1 April. The Head of State emphasized that the implementation of a national action plan is underway. Work is also done on developing a national strategy for the integration of the asylum-seekers in Bulgaria.

The process of EU enlargement with the West Balkan countries was among the topics discussed in the talks held between Rosen Plevneliev and Herman Van Rompoy. According to the Head of State, 100 years after World War I, the Balkans are an example of peace and a successful process of integration, they work to ensure greater cohesion, which includes building new road and energy connections.
