The Bulgarian and the Vietnamese sides will work to ensure that the bi-lateral trade grows from the current 60 million US dollars to 500 million in the next couple of years, President Rosen Plevneliev said in Ho Chi Minh, where he opened a second office of the service on trade and economic issues at the Bulgarian Embassy in Vietnam.

Negotiations for fraternization are due to be conducted between the cities of Sofia and Ho Chi Minh. This became clear after a meeting held between President Rosen Plevneliev and Le Hoang Quan, chair of the People's Committee of the Vietnamese province.

President Rosen Plevneliev and Nguyen Thi Doan, Vice President of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam held a meeting with more than 100 Vietnamese citizens who have studied and worked in Bulgaria and with Bulgarians living in Vietnam. The two attended a concert of the “Mystery of the Bulgarian Voices” ensemble performed before a Vietnamese audience within President Plevneliev’s state visit to the Asian country.
