President Meets Czech Counterpart

2024-04-11 18:20:00

Head of State Rumen Radev met the President of the Czech Republic Peter Pavel. The talks took place on the sidelines of the Three Seas Initiative Summit in Vilnius.

President Radev highly appreciated the Czech Republic's active support for Bulgaria's full accession to the Schengen area, as well as for its membership in the OECD. The abolition of land border controls in the Schengen area will open up greater economic opportunities in the region, so we count on the Czech Republic's consistent support, Rumen Radev said.

In the context of Petr Pavel's planned visit to Bulgaria, the two presidents noted the potential for deepening trade and economic relations between Bulgaria and the Czech Republic, as well as the opportunities for cooperation in the security sector.
