Presidents Radev and Aliyev Discuss Deepening Bilateral Cooperation

Head of State Rumen Radev today hold a telephone talk with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev on the need to postpone Radev's planned visit to Baku due to pressing domestic political commitments.

In the course of the telephone conversation, Radev and Aliyev discussed the prospects for deepening bilateral cooperation in areas of mutual interest for Bulgaria and Azerbaijan. The two noted the opportunities for the development of partnership in the energy sector, investments, transport connectivity, and the promotion of business contacts. To this end, bilateral documents are being agreed and the conditions for developing joint projects involving companies from both countries are being explored.

Aliyev renewed his invitation to Radev to visit Azerbaijan at a convenient time for the two sides in order to continue and build on the top-level dialogue.
