Rumen Radev and Mohamed al-Menfi: Bulgaria and Libya to encourage businesses from both countries to implement projects of mutual interest

2022-11-07 18:15:00

The resumption of top-level dialogue between Bulgaria and Libya should be followed by concrete partnership steps in the economy, investment, health and education. This was the common position of Head of State Rumen Radev and the Chairman of the Presidential Council of Libya, Mohamed al-Menfi, who held a meeting today on the sidelines of the 27th Conference of the Parties to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP27), hosted by Egypt.

Bulgaria and Libya share a common interest in exchanging business delegations and staging joint business forums to promote partnership between companies from the two countries, the two underlined. Al-Menfi expressed Libya's interest in strengthening bilateral cooperation in healthcare, while Radev highlighted the opportunity for students from Libya to study at Bulgarian medical universities, which offer the best price-to-quality ratio within the EU.

Radev also expressed Bulgaria's support for the reconstruction process in Libya and invited al-Menfi to visit this country.
