We Are grateful to His Holiness Pope Francis for the attention he pays to Bulgaria through the annual audiences of Bulgarian delegations and the commemoration of the holy Brothers Sts. Cyril and Methodius – co-patrons of Europe. This is what President Rumen Radev said at a meeting with the Head of the Roman Catholic Church, which was attended by all state and government leaders of the EU member states.

The Bulgarian President was invited first to greet the Pope of all European leaders.

The Holy Father voiced his best wishes to the whole Bulgarian people and said that solidarity and the human personality are the pillars of the European project.
The audience that His Holiness Pope Francis gives the state and government leaders of the EU member states is dedicated to the 60th anniversary of the Treaties  of Rome.
