2016-10-06 15:07:00

Bulgaria has excellent conditions to develop all types of tourism – seaside, mountainous, cultural, spa and rehabilitation and needs strong partners in order to realize to the greatest extent its enormous potential in this strategic sector. This is what President Rosen Plevneliev said at a meeting with  His Royal Highness Prince Sultan bin Salman bin Abdul Aziz Al-Saud, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Saudi Commission for Tourism and National Heritage.

The Bulgarian Head of State reiterated our country’s resolution to attract more investments in the quickly developing sectors of tourism, the high technologies and the car industry and highlighted Bulgaria’s competitive advantages in the Southeast European region – strategic location, low national debt level, conservative fiscal policy, highly qualified staff. “The Bulgarian society sets an example not only to the Balkans, but to the whole of Europe for a peaceful and tolerant coexistence of different religious groups,” Rosen Plevneliev added.

Bulgaria and the Southeast European countries have great natural assets and a rich cultural heritage and Saudi Arabia is ready to strengthen its partnership and increase its investments in tourism and the economy, Prince  Sultan bin Salman bin Abdul Aziz Al-Saud said. He invited the Bulgarian Head of State to visit Saudi Arabia at a convenient for him time.

At the meeting President Rosen Plevneliev also highlighted the great opportunities for implementing successful joint projects in the energy sector, and also in agriculture and pointed out the opportunity the investors have to take advantage of the financial aid provided by the EU funds.
