President Rosen Plevneliev Defined the Terror Attacks in Paris as Inhumane and Barbarous

2015-11-14 09:25:00

An inhumane and barbarous act, directed against the principles and foundations of democratic societies, is what President Rosen Plevneliev said about the terror attacks in Paris launched on 13 November. In a letter of condolences to the President of France Fracois Hollande, the Head of State strongly condemned the attacks that took the lives of innocent people.

“The news about the bloodiest terror attacks in the heart of Europe, which took the lives of almost 100 people, deeply shocked and terrified me. No cause can justify murder and the violence against innocent people. At this so difficult for the French Republic moment, I would like to assure you of the Bulgarian people’s sympathy and solidarity. I am convinced that the democracy and values we believe in are stronger than terrorism and cannot be defeated,” the Head of State wrote in a letter of condolences to the President of France.

“The Republic of Bulgaria strongly condemns any form of terrorism and violence. Only by pooling joint and decisive efforts can we counteract such inhumane acts directed against the principles and foundations of our democratic societies. Bulgaria is ready to provide full assistance to the French authorities and the investigating organs at this difficult time for France. I am convinced in Your determination and that of the French people to complete this hard task and that the perpetrators of these barbarous acts will be punished with the full force of law,” President Rosen Plevneliev’s letter to President Fracois Hollande says.

The Head of State expressed profound condolences to the families and relatives of the dead and wished a swift recovery to those injured in the terrorist attacks.
