2015-06-17 16:01:00
Bulgaria will provide material and financial assistance to Georgia to overcome the consequences of the heavy floods in Tbilisi from 13 June onwards. This is what Head of State Rosen Plevneliev said after the meeting he held with President of Georgia Giorgi Margvelashvili. The President arrived in Tbilisi on a two-day official visit, which has been the first one in the Caucuses country for the past 15 years.

President Rosen Plevneliev offered deep condolences on the loss of life due to the tragedy in the capital of Georgia. “We support the people of Georgia at a time when a natural disaster claimed innocent human lives. The situation in Bulgaria was similar a year ago and the floods took the lives of tens of people and caused huge material damage. Currently we are observing the same situation in Tbilisi and we will help Georgia as a good friend so that it will be able to recover as fast as possible,” the Bulgarian Head of State said in Tbilisi.
