Countries in the Balkans cannot simply co-exist, they alone have the potential to solve the problems of their region. This was said by President Rosen Plevneliev, who met today in Belgrade with the chairman of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Nebojša Radmanovi?. The Bulgarian Head of State is attending a meeting of Heads of States Parties to the Process of Co-operation in South East Europe (SEECP), held in Belgrade.
At the meeting, President Plevneliev confirmed Bulgaria's support for the European integration of Bosnia and Herzegovina and emphasised that the stability of the country is key to the region of South East Europe. Presidents Plevneliev and Radmanovi? discussed prospects for regional co-operation and opportunities to attract more investors to South Eastern Europe. According to President Plevneliev, more joint projects in the Balkans should be set up, as the whole region rather than an individual country is important for investors. They agreed that the deepening of economic co-operation is the most effective means of overcoming the consequences of the financial crisis.
