Regarding the complicated situation in the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, the Press Secretariat of the Head of State is authorized to disseminate the following statement:

Actions of armed forces of unknown origin directed at occupying sites from the critical infrastructure of Crimea are observed.  An attempt has been made to speed up the disintegration processes in Ukraine.

The presence of armed forces and their unauthorized activity on the territory of a sovereign state raises serious concern. President Plevneliev calls on for stopping all provocative actions that may lead to irreparable consequences not only for the region, but also for the international order.

Bulgaria is for preserving the sovereignty, the territorial integrity and the democratic future of Ukraine.
