Negotiations for fraternization are due to be conducted between the cities of Sofia and Ho Chi Minh

Negotiations for fraternization are due to be conducted between the cities of Sofia and Ho Chi Minh. This became clear after a meeting held between President Rosen Plevneliev and Le Hoang Quan, chair of the People's Committee of the Vietnamese province. The Head of State is on a visit to Vietnam’s industrial center, where he opened a Vietnamese-Bulgarian business forum.

“This is a marvelous idea, which will facilitate developing very special relations between Bulgaria and Vietnam,” Rosen Plevneliev commented and added that an economic delegation from Ho Chi Minh, led by the chair of the People's Committee, is expected to visit our country next year.

The Bulgarian-Vietnamese business forum organized in Ho Chi Minh clearly shows that Bulgaria has both the ambition and commitment not only to develop good political relations, but also to transform the trust and friendship between the two countries into concrete results for the economy, for creating more jobs, for doing business and making investments, President Plevneliev told Bulgarian journalists in Vietnam.

In the context of the Bulgarian-Vietnamese business forum in Ho Chi Minh, the Head of State informed that there are Bulgarian producers who have very clear intentions for making investments. “I am convinced that soon we will hear good news regarding the expectations for future joint productions in the pharmacy sector, the production of tobacco products, food, as well as in the sphere of the defense industry, which we are particularly interested in,” the Head of State said. He added that Vietnam is planning to make considerable investments in the energy sector and the management of water resources, where the Bulgarian companies also have strong positions.

The President further added that the Economy and Energy Ministry and the Foreign Ministry will be the leading ministries to ensure the progress of the good ideas and the implementation of the future projects for cooperation between Bulgaria and Vietnam. “Being responsible politicians, we must show that Bulgaria’s foreign policy may be useful for the Bulgarian economy and business. The Bulgarian politicians must support the entrepreneurship and responsibility of our enterprises, which regard the world as a good place to do business and regard Vietnam as a good platform, as a promising and friendly country, through which Bulgaria can open its door to a very dynamically developing region,” Rosen Plevneliv further emphasized. The concrete ideas and the common ground of the two countries’ interests are yet to be summarized, the Head of State said.
