Vice-president Margarita Popova and a delegation of the Group for friendship Kuwait-Bulgaria in the National Assembly of Kuwait, lead by the head of the group Hamad Saif Mohammad Al-Harshani, discussed strengthening the bilateral relations in the education, science and culture sectors and the development of tourism.

Although Bulgaria and Hungary have an excellent political dialogue, they may achieve a lot more if they strengthen their cooperation on the important issues on the EU agenda, such as the issues of migration and EU enlargement. Vice-president Margarita Popova is on a working visit to Hungary at the invitation of the Bulgarian Republican Self-government in the country to commemorate the 100th anniversary since the establishment of the first association of Bulgarians in the Central-European country.

Vice-president Margarita Popova welcomed the activity of the European Commission directed at preventing the production, import, distribution and use of fake goods in the European Union and preventing and fighting corruption. The debate on establishing a common European Prosecutor’s Office should result in setting up an efficient structure which would strengthen the European Union. Otherwise we risk establishing yet another administration which would not produce results. This is what Vice-president Margarita Popova said. Today at 2 Dondukov Blvd, she held a meeting with Christoph Stroetz, Chief State Prosecutor of the German State of Bavaria, who is on an official visit to Bulgaria.
