Bulgaria and Egypt will strengthen their bilateral cooperation by means of effectuating more joint projects. This is the position embraced by President Plevneliev and the President of Egypt Abdel Fattah el-Sisi, who held talks at UN Headquarters. It was underscored at the meeting that the two countries share a common vision regarding the necessity for modernization and attracting more investments in key sectors, such as the management of water resources, transport infrastructure and energy development.

Manifestations of xenophobia and anti-Semitism in Europe cannot be tolerated and need to be condemned by the institutions and the civil society. The President underscored that it is inadmissible to use “hate language” and extreme nationalistic rhetoric by political parties in EU Member States.

This was the appeal made by President Rosen Plevneliev in his speech today at the Climate Change Summit meeting, held at UN headquarters in New York.
