The bilateral cooperation between Sofia and Lisbon will focus on increasing the trade between Bulgaria and Portugal and using the Portuguese expertise to ensure economic and financial stabilization after the economic crisis in Europe. Today President Plevneliev was awarded by his Portuguese counterpart President Anibal Cavaco Silva the Ordem do Infante D. Henrique. This is the highest order of the Portuguese Republic with which civilians are awarded.
