Bulgaria enjoys a high reputation in Mongolia and this is a condition for a good economic cooperation. We can achieve much better results and we have outlined an ambitious program. This is how President Rosen Plevneliev summarized the results from his state visit to Mongolia. “For Mongolia Bulgaria is a leader in sectors such as the ICT one, agriculture and food production, energy, in the building of infrastructure,” the Head of State told journalists in Ulan Bator.

We have an excellent cooperation and friendship on the political level, however, the important issue is whether we can do business together. The Bulgarian business is looking far beyond the borders of our country, the Bulgarian companies are competitive and ambitious. Bulgaria offers very good conditions for the Mongolian business – low costs and a strategic location, which ensures quick access to big markets on two continents. This is what Head of State Rosen Plevneliev said in Ulan Bator, where a joint Mongolian-Bulgarian business forum was held, attended by almost 100 representatives of the business circles in the two countries.

The first-of-its-kind monument of the Cyrillic alphabet was unveiled in the capital of Mongolia Ulan Bator within the framework of President Rosen Plevneliev’s state visit to Mongolia. The monument with letters of the Slavic alphabet was set up in the yard of school No. 118 in the Mongolian capital and the ceremony was attended by the culture minister of Mongolia, the Mongolian ambassador to Sofia, teachers and graduates of the school.

Head of State Rosen Plevneliev and President of Mongolia Tsahyagiin Elbegdorj discussed the development of the trade relations between Bulgaria and Mongolia. In Ulan Bator, where he is on a state visit, the Bulgarian President was welcomed by his Mongolian counterpart with an official ceremony in front of the government complex. The Bulgarian Head of State’s visit is made in the context of the 65th anniversary since the establishment of diplomatic relations between Bulgaria and Mongolia. The two presidents talked in private after which plenary talks between the delegations were held.
