Head of State Rumen Radev awarded the Honorary Sign of the President to the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation at a ceremony dedicated to the 25th anniversary of the Humboldt Union in Bulgaria. “Talented, ambitious and capable scholars, who have a place among the European scientific elite, work in Bulgaria. I would like to thank all eminent Bulgarian scholars who are scholarship holders, who create schools and teams so as to develop the potential of the young scholars and the relations between Bulgaria and Germany,” President Radev said at the ceremony, which was held in the Archaeological Museum in Sofia.

Our country highly appreciates London’s support for implementing key reforms in the sphere of justice and for achieving results in the fight against corruption and organized crime. This is what President Rumen Radev said, who held a meeting with Emma Hopkins, the British ambassador to Bulgaria, at 2 Dondukov street today. At the talks, the Head of State voiced conviction that despite Brexit, Sofia and London will continue their effective cooperation in key spheres of mutual interest: defense, migration, fighting terrorism, reform in justice, economy and investments.

Bulgaria is ready to encourage investors in projects that bring added value to the Bulgarian economy and the development of society. This is what President Rumen Radev said, who held talks with representatives of the American – Central European Business Association (ACEBA) at 2 Dondukov street today. Some of the biggest US companies in the spheres of IT, defense industry, agriculture and food production are taking part in the first ACEBA mission conducted in Bulgaria in the past 14 years.
