Bulgaria fully supports the idea promoted by the European Commission for modernization of the World Trade Organization (WTO) vis-à-vis updating the rules for international trade, providing greater opportunities for monitoring and unleashing the arbitration mechanisms. This is what President Rumen Radev told journalists in Geneva. The Head of State is visiting Switzerland to take part in the 41st session of the UN Council on Human Rights. During his visit Rumen Radev also held a meeting with Roberto Azevedo, Director General of the World Trade Organization.

Although the UN is not the perfect tool for resolving international crises, there is no better one. The member states should support the UN’s efforts in this respect, so that we can strengthen its mechanisms. This is what President Rumen Radev told Bulgarian journalists in Geneva after he held bilateral meetings in the UN office at Geneva. The Head of State is in Switzerland to take part in the 41st session of the UN Council on Human Rights.

Today Head of State Rumen Radev and the Parliament Speaker of Georgia Irakli Kobakhidze discussed improving the energy, transport and digital connectivity in the Black Sea region. Kobakhidze, who is on an official visit to Bulgaria, was received by the Head of State at 2 Dondukov street today.
